The rules.
RentBoy.rent brings clients and providers together for mutually agreed dinner, event and activity bookings. Free to join; providers choose their gifts and boundaries. Support is provided under the RentBoy.rent business name at info@rentboy.rent.
1. Mutual choice and service scope
Both participants must be adults and complete private adult/identity review before an actionable booking. Email verification is a separate check. No booking includes an entitlement to intimacy or to cross another person’s boundaries. Spending power never overrides consent. Services must be lawful where delivered. Weekend and overseas trips need separately approved hours, travel, expenses, destination checks and support; those travel products are not activated by the standard booking form.
2. Gifts and the 10% commission
The agreed provider amount is called a gift on RentBoy.rent. Providers choose it; the wording does not change applicable tax, payment-provider or consumer requirements. R1,000/hour and a R200 deposit are planning examples, not compulsory amounts or measured market averages. The provider owes RentBoy.rent 10% of the accepted gift for the booking; separately agreed expenses are outside that fee basis. A R1,000 gift gives a R100 commission and a R900 provider gift after commission. The client total and expense treatment are visible before both accept.
3. Accurate profiles and availability
Please fill out all profile fields. Use truthful photographs, interests, services, availability and boundaries. A published time window is checked again on acceptance, as are the provider gift and current terms. Overlapping accepted bookings are rejected. Editorial/example cards are identified and cannot be booked as if they were registered providers.
4. Keep contact and arrangements here
Do not publish or exchange telephone numbers, email addresses, social handles, links, QR codes or encoded contact instructions in profiles, messages, briefs, reviews, photographs or videos. Detected text contacts are masked before storage or display. Videos and client photos require moderation before sharing. Deliberate evasion may result in restricted access or suspension, with a private report and review route. Automated detection cannot identify every disguise or prevent an in-person exchange of numbers.
5. Deposits: verifiable records, not a guarantee
Do not send a deposit while collection is shown as unavailable. When collection is configured, the deposit is part of the gift, not an additional charge. A submitted reference remains unverified until RentBoy.rent checks an exact receipt. Client arrival confirmation authorizes release; it does not transfer funds. A completed payout or refund requires a separately verified outgoing transaction. These controls support review and accountability; they are not a licensed escrow representation or a guarantee of attendance, recovery or a payment provider’s protection.
6. Cancellation and fair help
Before acceptance either side may decline without a charge. After acceptance, use Request review / cancellation in Messenger. A client cancellation before the agreed start, or a supported provider no-show, is eligible for a full deposit-refund review where receipt was verified. Other outcomes are reviewed from the brief, conversation and receipts. No substitute person is assigned automatically and a dispute does not silently erase a balance. Refund status reflects actual verification, not a button promising repayment. Contact RentBoy.rent promptly for help; emergency services handle immediate danger.
7. Honest reviews
Reviews of completed confirmed bookings must reflect what happened honestly, including failures to follow through. No-show and incident reports have a private route even when the booking never completes. Reports are investigated rather than automatically publishing an accusation. Providers may respond, and a low rating alone is not grounds for removal.
8. Reasons to return
Both clients and providers should choose RentBoy.rent again: mutual choice, good matching, saved arrangements, easy same-person rebooking, clear payments and fair help. Mutual favourites express both sides’ interest. Repeat requests reuse the prior brief but always require current availability and fresh acceptance. Completed-meeting history and moderated reviews build context over time; they do not certify someone’s conduct. Availability-alert consent can be saved; alert delivery is not active yet.
9. Photos, videos and VIP
Clients and providers may upload up to 8 photos total, including cover/profile selections. Photos are JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 2 MB (2,097,152 bytes) each. Client galleries are private to providers with whom they have a conversation, after moderation. The current VIP price and access period are shown in Membership before checkout for either member role. Benefits include read receipts, last-seen visibility and up to 2 MP4/WebM videos, each at most 5 MB (5,242,880 bytes). Active, approved VIP providers rotate through first positions every five minutes. VIP does not bypass moderation or guarantee bookings. On expiry, videos remain stored but are hidden from others; features reactivate with valid VIP.
10. Coverage and commercial accountability
Coverage includes South Africa, Europe, and North and South America. This describes supported locations, not a claim of provider supply in every city or universal payment acceptance. Select an actual country and published time window. Launch and travel availability depend on local operations and payment support.
The commercial goal is to make the site useful enough that clients and providers return even after exchanging numbers. At 10%, every R1 million of completed commissionable bookings represents R100,000 gross platform commission before refunds, tax treatment and operating costs. Profit is what remains after those items. Analytics keep currencies separate and label missing cost/tax inputs rather than inventing profit.
